DATEV Datenservices

With DATEV Datenservices, you or your tax advisor no longer have to manually export data from Spesenfuchs in order to then manually import it into DATEV. With DATEV Datenservices, this is done automatically in the background.

After the initial setup by you and your tax advisor, you simply choose whether you want to transfer the approved expenses automatically or manually and the export can begin. Spesenfuchs automatically transfers the data to DATEV in the correct format in the background so that it is then available in DATEV.

Requirements for the DATEV data services

To use the interface, DATEV has a number of requirements that must be met, particularly with regard to authorization. The authentication media are ordered via the tax office.

Requirements for you 

  • To be able to use the interface in Spesenfuchs, you need an authentication method from DATEV.
  • You can authenticate yourself using the DATEV mIDentity stick.
  • Alternatively, you can authorize yourself using your cell phone (via the DATEV Smart Login app on your smartphone). This has the advantage that Mac users can also use the interfaces. 
  • You need the following information from your tax office: DATEV consultant number, DATEV client number, length of the G/L accounts and start of the financial year.

Requirements for the tax office

  • The tax office works with DATEV.
  • The tax office has activated you as a client for the DATEV data services for at least one of the services Booking data service or Invoice data service 1.0. The tax office also has two options for activation and authorization with DATEV: mIDentity-Stick or Smartlogin. Important: the activation may have to be carried out again via the MyDATEV client registration, see here.
  • The right to use the booking data service or invoice data service 1.0 on the SmartCard must be activated. This can be done by your tax office or by you with administrator rights under Rights management online in DATEV.  Please note that activation may result in additional costs for you/your tax office.  
  • The tax office has set up your company correctly in DATEV Unternehmen online. Please note the following:
    1. The incoming and outgoing invoice ledger is set up in DATEV Unternehmen Online for you as a created client for the current financial year or for the previous year.
    2. (When transferring the data for a financial year for the first time, DATEV Unternehmen online checks whether the settings from the previous year can be transferred automatically and sets up the current financial year automatically if necessary).
    3. In DATEV Unternehmen online, it is mandatory to create the “extended” portfolio.
